I have been to many places here in Kenya…

I am sooo lucky.

… to be able to go to such beauty not even most of the Kenyans themselves have seen…

well, and even if they grew up at such an adorable place… they have not gone anywhere else… they probably have fought for their life… to get enough food for their entire family… and still I see happy faces. smiling at me. welcoming me.

it inspires me to see how well most people get along with almost nothing… happily.

they have certainly never thought about this little bird surrounding them. and furthermore – never could have imagined that a woman could come all the way from Europe to see exactly this bird!

in my opinion they have a much better view or feeling for Nature than many Europeans do. certainly most African people I have met can easily show me a Stonechat when I describe how it looks like… even say that it cares for young usually when the crop reached that specific height…

I have seen so many diverse places in Kenya, because Stonechats can adapt very well to different habitats. but most of all they prefer grasslands… even better when it is kept short by cattle. but you can also find them in tea plantations, or glades deep in forests, even within little villages patched with crop fields etc…
